Welcome to Gaiatarian
Hello and welcome to Gaiatarian, a unique space dedicated to all things plant-based. My culinary journey began at the tender age of 9, inspired by my mother, an exceptional Creole chef. She instilled in me the love of cooking, and I fondly recall assisting her in the kitchen, especially while making dumplings for her renowned pumpkin soup. These cherished experiences laid the foundation for my passion for cooking, which I now joyfully share with my daughter as we create Gaiatarian videos together. She, too, shares my zeal for cooking, echoing the enthusiasm I had at her age. Together, we continue the culinary traditions passed down to me.
For over ten years, I’ve been nurturing this platform to share easy, healthy recipes with a Caribbean flair. My love for farming also plays a significant role in my life. I grow various fruits like citrus, guavas, avocados, tangerines, and lemons in my California orchard. As an islander, the deep connection to nature is vital to me, and I find a similar connection in California. It’s a joy to grow most of our food and witness my children’s excitement during harvest time, enjoying the fruits of their labor.
My approach to Gaiatarian is shaped by my background as an Environmental Scientist and my work in Natural Resource Science and Land Use Planning. I’ve explored the effects of environmental toxicity on health and sought to bridge the gap in public awareness. This journey led me to establish Gaia’s Essence, a leading women’s lifestyle brand focused on connecting women in health and business. We globally engage women through our Women’s Conference, the Beast Mamas Podcast, Films, and Eco Retreats.
The Gaiatarian philosophy centers on a holistic understanding of our interconnectedness and the environment’s influence on our mental and physical well-being. I am committed to sharing plant-based recipes, teaching others to cultivate and prepare their favorite dishes.
